The Got College? initiative is transforming the future of Osceola County students. When the program began in 2013, Osceola ranked 61st in the state for college attendance. Today, thanks to focused strategies and strong partnerships, our county has climbed all the way to 3rd in Florida—a dramatic turnaround that proves what’s possible when a community works together for its students.

A few of the strategies behind this success include:

  • Increasing awareness of college readiness and technical training opportunities for students and parents.

  • Hosting more college nights, campus tours, and financial aid workshops across the community.

  • Providing scholarship and college counseling sessions to help families navigate the process.

  • Partnering with Valencia College and the School District to offer programs like mock college days, dual enrollment opportunities, and College Readiness Coaches to guide students.

  • Expanding scholarship opportunities and ensuring every high school senior graduates with a career or education plan for their future.
