Osceola Reads is a countywide literacy initiative promoting reading readiness in our youngest learners!  In 2015, eighty-seven percent of students entering kindergarten were not prepared with basic reading skills.  Through the use of the free mobile reading app, Footsteps2Brilliance, all Osceola County children have access to an engaging digital library with corresponding games focused on building a literacy foundation.

Osceola Reads provides the mobile app Footsteps2Brilliance absolutely free to all schools and families in Osceola County to build a strong reading foundation for our preschool through second grade children.  This comprehensive and engaging program will accelerate vocabulary acquisition, comprehension, and creativity in children for school today and for the world tomorrow.

It is never too early to begin reading to a child, and what better way to ensure you always have a book on hand than downloading your own digital library?  After completing registration at www.OsceolaReads.com, the app, Footsteps2Brilliance, can be downloaded on a device you already own.  Footsteps2Brilliance is available for iOS, Android, Amazon, and Nook devices, as well as computer-based web browsers at myf2b.com.  Once downloaded, the app can be accessed with or without the internet access, making it perfect to take on the go!
