The mission of the Osceola Medical Pipeline is to inspire interest, ignite possibilities, and develop skills in Osceola County students for the pursuit of pathways to careers in healthcare.
Through increased student exploration of local healthcare education and careers, more Osceola County students will pursue careers locally in the medical field.
Programs and Student Outreach
Through strong partnerships and collaborative efforts, the Osceola Medical Pipeline offers top-notch programs and experiences. Since its inception in 2012, the pipeline has served over 2000 Osceola County students.
The Health Leaders Summer Academy is a two-week summer academy for Osceola County rising juniors. This academy will give students the thrilling opportunity to attend premed classes and labs at UCF and the UCF College of Medicine, Valencia College, and TECO. Students will also participate in a variety of fascinating tours with health care professionals at Florida Hospital Celebration Health, Nemours Children's Hospital, and Saint Cloud Regional Medical Center. Health Careers Experience - Osceola County middle and high school students will experience diverse and exciting health careers exploration field trips. Students will tour hospital departments such as obstetrics, emergency medicine, and pharmacy at Florida Hospital Celebration Health and Poinciana Medical Center. School-based advisors and the Education Foundation select the students for these field trips.
Elementary Health Careers Experience - Osceola County third graders will experience half-day field trips to Florida Hospital Celebration Health where they will rotate through a series of hands-on, interesting, and fun health careers and activity stations!
