Lare Allen is an Osceola High graduate. He became an Army officer and then came back to Osceola County to become a teacher. Some of the most memorable years of his 30-year career were spent as a fifth-grade teacher. He still views his students as his “little cousins” because they are more similar than they are different.
He is proud of the fact that his children graduated from Osceola County public schools. He still believes our students can get a firm educational foundation from our system which will allow them to compete globally. He states, “Our job is to give them the resources they need to go farther than we have managed to go.”
Lare currently serves his community as the President of the Osceola County Education Association.
